Hello. I have been working all weekend. I resisted making a post. But here I am....
I have 2 new movies. One is in .rar format. The other is in TS.XVID format. I have downloaded at least 10 different types of authoring/converting/burning software. Still no luck...
Movie 1 is in .rar
It says CAM.VCD-R33L
There are 2 folders listed as CD1 and CD2
Inside each folder the files are numbered as part01.rar up to part26.rar
2nd folder has same thing.
Is it a rar file or VCD? I have read the forums and cannot figure out a program that will convert these files to a DVD burnable format. I have tried. All weekend
Movie #2 is TS.XVID.
I have found a lot on XVID, but all of the software I downloaded won't work with this one either. The files are numbered from .r00 to .r47.
Are they TS or XVID or both? It won't work with any of the software I downloaded. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All weekend. I'm now bald from pulling all of my hair out. LOL

try using winrar or 7-zip to uncompress the files first ....
btw -- you are mighty close to warez , as a cam type download usually means warez
please see rules ....
also please see the sticky notes here which would have helped you"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
I did use WinRar. That unzipped the files I described. But I couldn't do anything else??
Warez are Cam recordings. Good to know. Thanks. I actually did read the sticky notes. I applied what I found to the problems I listed. Couldn't get a resolution.
Thanks -
They are movie files that are compressed into multi part archives for easier distribution. Download Winzip and install. Then go to the folder where the files are, select all the ones with a # extension, right click and choose "Extract Here". It will extract the actual video file from the archive.
BTW, I'm not jumping your case, but BJ_M is right. Cams and TS is always warez. The files you have are illegal. There is no way around that. So if you ask for advice never say the actual name of the files and never say you have a Cam, TS, DVD rip, etc...
I'm just telling you so others don't jump on you and to keep you from getting suspended or banned on this site or any other.
As for converting to DVD, ConverXToDVD is the best program for this. It takes almost any format and automatically converts it to a ready to burn VIDEO_TS folder.
