I am assuming you want them in MPEG-2 DVD format? Simple would be to use a program like ConvertXToDVD, add them both and let it make a DVD for you.
Or you can encode them with other converters and author them both to one DVD. -
ah ok.. tnx..
winavi convert avi to mpeg-2 also.. can i use that ?
and after that, i could burn it to nero vision?try and try -
Personally, I wouldn't use either of those programs, but if you can get them to work properly, you probably could use them for that process.
For just burning DVDs, the freeware ImgBurn is one of the best programs out there. It accepts VIDEO_TS folders and works well with the newer burners.
You could also try the older version of ConvertX, the freeware DivxToDVD. It's not as flexible, but I suspect it will work better than WinAVI.NeroVision sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Both it and WinAVI do not have a good success record, IMO.

i converted my xVid avi movie [700mb] with WinAvi to mpeg-2 and the result was ok but the file size was about 1.8 Gb. is that really the file size? or it should be less than that?
regarding to suggestion [ImgBurn,DivxToDVD] ok il try to use them and get some results.try and try -

Actually, that seems small if you want any sort of quality.
What is the running time of each movie ?
Size = Running Time X Bitrate. The longer the film, the lower the bitrate, and consequently, the lower the quality after a certain point.
Given your source is low quality to begin with, 1.8GB might be OK if you had used a decent encoder. However 1.8GB out of WinAVI will be very average at best.Read my blog here.

I never burn with ConvertXtoDVD. I write the disc to the HDD, then use Imgburn to burn to disc.

guns1inger is right...
I "assumed" (gasp!) you encoded at 1/2 D1 (352x480) which would make your file size about right. However, if you had it encode at 720x480 then a 1.8gig file would look pretty bad.
What can I say? My bad!Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
