I'm trying to get a .VOB file into a quicktime format. I don't know much about this kind of stuff but I've tried .avi and .mov

They both have the video but no audio? The .vob plays with audio using VLC.

Can anyone help me out. should I be selecting a different file for the audio? If so how?

    Cheers

Same problem - vob to avi - no audio. And vob to mov yields zero kb files. What is the solution? What codec and audio settings should I use?

What audio streams in the VOBs? AC3? If so - Do you have the AC3 codec installed?

    Thanks for your reply!
I managed to convert by using the VIDEO_TS file instead of the VOG file. I was able to convert to H.264 with AAC. It only took about 5 hours working with about 5 different little video conversion programs before I stumbled on the solution. It all started when Handbrake wouldn't recognize a valid title. I tried almost everything in all the posts I read to no avail before having this success with ffmpegX. Now I'm in the process of making three different size trailers for streaming. I'm converting the MP4 I managed to make into MOV streaming format files. So far so good.
    Thanks again.
