After Effect transparent back ground

How do I make the background tranparent in after effects I am useing 7 if that helps but I am sure that this process is the same please help me out on this.

I just want to create some moving text in which I have already Created but I want to save it with out the back ground showing meaning an tranparent background

Nevermind I have figured it out what you want to do is when you are saving it you wanna Choose Millions of Colors+ so that you include an alpha channel to make the video transparent. That is if you are saving it as an avi I havent tryed any other way of Expoting the file I will keep this page updated with my progress.

Usually the best way to export a movie file is Quicktime Animation, uncompressed (Which I think can be used without AVID's Codec).

Once trick is to export a TARGA Bitmap sequence with the alpha channel included.
