Dear all,

As advised earlier I used VirtualDubMod to isolate the stream that I wanted and re-saved the avi without the other streams included. Unfortunately this produced some sound offset which, while it can be corrected in TMPGCEnc later, is a huge pain in the neck to do for every single one of them.

Since this avi file has multiple audio streams, is there no way to just eliminate two of them and keep the third without having to re-encode the file, have it desync the audio, etc.? Perhaps I'm just showing my lack of knowledge of the topic, but it doesn't seem like it should be so complex, and I certainly don't understand why just saving it without two extra audio tracks should cause the audio to desync.

I was running it on Direct Stream in terms of video, but I shouldn't think that would really make much difference. Any ideas for something simpler that's less likely to produce desync? Or should I just face the long and tedious task of resyncing all the sound with TMPGCE?

Incidentally I don't script, I don't know how to frameserve very well, and I only have fooled around a bit with TMPGCE's re-sync functionality in a minor way. I did look into SyncView but I haven't done much with it and don't know if I should even look at it just yet, if there's an easier way. I really don't know if exporting as wav through VDubMod would help much, as earlier experiments in exporting it just ended up with desync anyway during rejoining.

Thanks in advance for any help.
