When I captured my Family Guy movies for backups, I noticed that my DVD player skips a lot. It's a GoVideo DVD+VCR Year 2000 model(I forget the model number), is it because I need a newer DVD player? I tried it on my computer and it worked with minimal flaws. Is there a way to convert it to where my DVD player can handle it? I used DVDShrink and SmartRipper for it.

Most likely either the quality of the media or the quality of the media and the age/quality of the player. I suggest this a)because it is the most likely answer, and b)because you say that even on the PC you get glitches ("minimal flaws"). You should get perfect playback on the device that burned it, at the very least.
What media are you using (brand and media code) ?
What do you see if you read test the discs (suggest DVD Info Pro or Nero Speed Disc for this) ?Read my blog here.
