Hi, I have to capture a 2 hours 30 minutes video. I will capture 320x240 AVI (uncompressed) with VirtualDub, but I only have 20 GB hard drive left. 1 hour needs 16 GB aprox.
Can I capture 1 hour, compress it (DivX), then capture another hour (compress) and then 30 min. and compress.... and put those 3 videos together with VirtualDub

You should be able to join them with Virtualdub with no problems. Just be careful to use exactly the same settings for each part when you encode them to Divx.
Moving you to Editing.
