I just wasted an hour trying to chop the commercials out of the UNCUT airings off of G4 I recorded yesterday. I ended up deleting them and I'm just going to wait for the next batch they air.
They do 6 hours every Saturday 9am - 4pm. However instead of doing it one per hour they have it screwy and have some air during the main hour blocks - instead of 9-10, 10-11 etc they have it run so the show goes through the hour change.
Whats bad is I tried to use titantv to schedule the recordings so it would automatically segment the shows into the hour segment for easy commercial editing. It cut some off!! I hate that.
I guess the only thing I can do is to manually program the recording from 9am - 4 pm every Saturday and take the huge mpg file and painfully go through each hour. Thats a shame becuase if they would simply do it one per hour then it would be a heck of a lot easier to edit and make dvds.

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Screw tv.
I have long had the DVD releases. Or rented/watched them.
Either way, buy or rent, I watched from a disc.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Well I finally did a six hour chunk recording and got one large-ass mpg file. But my cut mpegs from the recording are working out very well.
FYI G4 is having a mega Star Trek Original Series marothon tomorrow on the 4th of July - 9am to 8pm est time. Thats gonna be like 25gb at 5mbs!! Fortunately I've been authoring of ton of my shows to dvd today so I'm back to over 120gb free on my 160gb capture driveDonatello - The Shredder? Star Trek OS, these I like. They IVTC perfectly because they did not
do any post-editing after the Telecine. When I had DirecTV, I used
to capture; ivtc; and mpeg these with ease, but no longer have these
disks.
I wouldn't mind starting over again, but unfortunately, I don't have
that channel, G4 on my Analog Cable roundup. I'm guessing that those
who have Spike tv don't have G4, and vise-versa. (I could be wrong)
So, as it turns out, I don't have G4, and I can't watch/record the
Star Trek Voyager searies, because these half are on the G4 channel.
You can't win, no matter what. They always screw you for that *extra*
bit of dollar that they can get (I mean) squeeze out of you.

I have both Spike and G4. G4 is on digital cable.

I have both Spike and G4 on analog cable. But I don't have Sci-Fi.

Sorry if I'm in error of this. I was going by LS 's quote of what
Star Trek "X" series were still being aired. I was sure that he
had quited "Voyager" as one of them. Its in another post, and I'll
try and find it, if I can.

Ok. I found it.. the topic where LS had posted ST "X" series lineup

Thanks vhelp but Voyager wasn't in that list. I'll go to startrek.com and take a peak.

For a while there, Voyager came on late night (early am?) on my local UPN station. So did Enterprise. With CW replacing WB/UPN in the near future, I don't expect it will continue anywhere local.
At any rate, I bought, borrowed or rented DVDs to see all these shows. Much more convenient than tv stations. No commercials, no logos, no pop-up ads, no stupid chat crap.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

AFAIK both Enterprise and Voyager are still in open syndication and it's up to a local station to decide to show them for them to be on in your area for now. I suspect eventually someone will pay the price for exclusive rights and they'll show up on Sci-Fi or Spike or G4TV or whatever. I don't care, I have them all in one form or another.

** Star Trek: Voyager
** Premiered January 16, 1995 on UPN.
** 179 Episodes
I found this through a search on TVGuide's search. I don't know if they are
on regulary, every Sunday. But, if they are, then I have a new series that
I can record to my dvd recorder (or analog capture) for the time being.
We just need to know if this is a weekly airing, that's all
Episode Detail, for Sun July 9, 2006: "Distant Origin"
An alien scientist (Henry Woronicz) tries to prove a heretical theory for the origin of his species---but his first contact with humans goes disastrously wrong.
Odala: Concetta Tomei. Veer: Christopher Liam Moore. Haluk: Marshall Teague.
Chakotay: Robert Beltran.
Another good episode. I had some Borg vs. Dinosours ideas. Remember, they
were already Millions of years ahead of Humans. Don't know how old the Borg are.
Trivia..
Can you believe it, Kate Mulgrew, (played as the captain, above) had quickly replaced
the supposed original cast, Genevieve Bujold..
Wonder how awlful shed'ev done if they kept her on.. not to mention what Voyager
would be like, yada yada.
(wonder how she'd look like if someone super-imposed Borg implants on her face)
