I have a new LCD screen going on the wall in the room next to my computer room.
I was hoping to link it to the computer so I can watch things from the PC in the bedroom.

Can I run a massive cable from one room to another (under the house)?

Or is there a limit to how long it can be? It will be a DVI connection and I guess (to allow for some room to move) at max. 10 meters.

    Possible?

From what I can find, about 5 meters max. I got that from this site: http://www.pacificcable.com/DVI_Tutorial.htm

But you might look around a little to confirm that. You can go longer with a optical extension-converter cable, but they look really expensive.

WOW! Some of those cable really were expensive, and I have to nearly double that price to buy it in Australia! (I dont know why things are so much more than the exchange rate)

So my long cable is out of the question......anyone know of a wireless solution?

A really high quality DVI cable can run out to 50 feet ... 30 feet is more normal ....

mind you these are really high quality cables .... i have a 30 footer and the quality is outstanding ..... not cheap though ....

hdmi can go longer distances ...

As long as we're spending money, you can buy a DVI repeater but it isn't cheap.
