I have been collecting music videos that i want to make a DVD that looks as good or if thers a way, better than the results i've been getting.

I have many tools but after 3 days of trying im more confused because of all the "info overload" (so much reading and searching) im not sure if im doing anything right.

    Here's what im working with:
    Mac G4 dual 1.25 gig
    1.5 gig ram
    OS 10.4.6

    Software:
    • MacTheRipper 2.6.6
      ffmpegX
      MovieGateLite
      MPEG Streamclip
      Toast Titanium 7.02
      Quicktime 7.0, 7.02, 7.04
      FPC 4.5
      imovie 5.0.2
      Compressor 2.1

I just want to burn them to disk to watch on my DVD player, nothing fancy, i just want to do a simple Toast burn.

But im fried, burt out, i have tryed so many different settings, configurations but when all is said and done the DVD plays fine but is blurry, strange color ghosts?

It's almost like blowing up the size of a picture, vid needs sharpining, color is dull.

I hope i have supplied enough info,
    because i need HELP!

I need more expert help, please.
need more info, ask. Im giving out my email just for the heck of it

    Thanks in advance

what is the source video quality like? If you are downloading these video's from the internet (hopefully nothing illegal) then they are highly compressed, lower resolution to begin with and you will not be able to make them look like a commercial dvd or even something you recorded off TV. Give us some more info about the types of files..their format/resolution/etc...

    sknox,
your best bet is to just dump these to VCD through Toast
and pray for the best. As the others pointed out,
you won't be able to [insert magical phrase here]
and create a good looking DVD from these.

your best bet at this point is to just make a VCD of them
and call it a day, because you will not be able to
go past that ( from info, they are MPEG-1 files,
    which are native to VCD).
