Hi all, I have recently uninstalled this program and re-installed due to a new hard drive. Since then, this program won't encode divx or xvid files, I'm pretty sure I have the codecs installed as they can be viewed through media player.

Funny thing is that NeoDVD used to make dvd's of any file format I threw at it.

Now I'm finding that I have to encode to mpeg2 before I make a dvd. I thought neodvd had the best encoder.

    Can someone help me?

If not, are there any guides for avi2dvd to help with the menu's etc. Is there any other software similar to neodvd?

Same thing here , though I have not struck your issue with neodvd ... I have not been able to get it to encode into any avi format ... just all dvd format's ... got other tool's for that anyway ... just it came with my dvdeasy pci card .

As for being the best encoder ... well ... it was not free , so it dosent even rank up against bbmpeg ... my favourite for all supported dvd format's that ifoedit will accept without question .

As for avi2dvd , not sure on guide's around the place ... and this program is packed ... a basic guide may exist , but one the gose too the bone most likely dosent as yet ...

So I'll have a crack at that menu thing this week and see ... did a fine job of the avi conversion , very quick and good result's .

Though as the saying gose "rubbish in , rubbish out" .

I contacted mediostream support, they suggested I remove any other authoring program that uses codecs??

Well, I uninstalled avi2dvd and now neodvd encodes the movie.

Now I face the problem that the created dvd has no audio, back to tech support I guess??
