I need some recommendations for a basic setup to ocassionally capture a movie recorded on my satellite receiver into a Dell Inspiron 4400 laptop. I'm guessing I need something which plugs into the USB port and then allows s-video and audio to be plugged into it (something like the Dazzle?). I would ultimately want the captured movie encoded in MPEG for burning a VCD/SVCD or in AVI for encoding in DivX. Which format doesn't really matter, I'm just looking for the quickest/easiest solution which will produce a decent quality encoding. I will only do this once in a while, so I'm just looking for a quick and easy solution - but obviously doesn't produce a file which looks like crap.
Suggestions??? Thanks!
