    hey all i dont know if i have put this in the right place or not i hope i have i'm haveing a prob tryign to watch movies

    evey time i go to watch a xvid it will play at most 5 mins then bsods and reboots but it that fast i cant see what the bsod says i dont understand what the prob is as i used to watch all kinds of formates with no probs at all then this started i few of my mtv videos works but i think there dvix it seem to be evey time i try and watch a xvid please can any one help

    Uninstall and reinstall the XVID stuff.

    If that doesn't work, uninstall XVID, restart, THEN reinstall.

    If that STILL doesn't work, uninstall XVID, then install FFDShow

    thx i will try that i tryed uninstalling and stuff but for some reson even when the xivd codex ant there it still plays them so i guess it not fully uninstalling them but i will give it go thx again

    XviD is MPEG-4. Any MPEG-4 compliant decoder that can handle the fourCC can decode it. So ffdshow, DivX, Nero Digital, etc. Might not have even been XviD decoding when you got the BSOD.
