After you encode them to DVD compliant MPEG-2, you can just add all them to your authoring program and the authoring program will make the VOBs, etc., and they will play pretty much seamlessly, one after the other. No need to join them.

Sounds like you've used an all-in-one and it has created three seperate VIDEO_TS folders for you ?

If so, you need to reauthor with something like TMPGEnc DVD Author and use the "Add DVD Video" option to add each VIDEO_TS folder.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Sorry, I thought you had AVI files to process to MPEG-2. Two methods you could use:

If you have the VOBs, yes, rename them in the sequence you want. Just use the VOBs and dump the rest of the VIDEO_TS folder contents. Then you can use IFOEdit to properly recreate the rest of the IFO and BUP files to match your new VOBs. Here's a guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/120021.php

Look the the upper left at 'What is' DVD to see the DVD structure. <<<<<<<

The IFOEdit guide seems a little confusing, but you only need the VOB files. IFOEdit will make the rest of the necessary files. Follow the instructions and you should end up with a DVD compliant VIDEO_TS folder with all necessary files. I just drop the contents of that into Nero's VIDEO_TS folder (Select the 'DVD-Video format) and burn. IFOEdit can do simple authoring also. You can do this completely with freeware tools, if wanted. Note: This will make your VOBs into a single video. If these videos are separate titles, you may want to use a different method.

Or instead, you can demux the VOBs separately with TMPGEnc encoder: Select File->MPEG Tools, select Simple Demultiplex and open the VOB and hit start. To demultiplex VOBs or MPGs with several audio tracks select Demultiplex instead and open the video and then doubleclick on the audio or video you want to save.

Now you will have the elemental video and audio from each VOB. Make sure to number the demuxed files so you can tell them apart. Then you use TMPGEnc DVD Author. You drop the first video in and select the audio for it, then repeat until you have them all in TDA. Then author them to DVD. Add chapters, menus, etc. You can burn the result with TDA or use Nero as above. TDA has lots of guides available.

The TDA method is easier, but will take longer as you have to demux each VOB. It depends on how 'fancy' a menu you want. IFOEdit is pretty basic as far as authoring.
