Hi,
I recently have been capturing some video files (avi) from my dv cam then adding some effects/audio and then uploading them back to my dv cam which i then transfer to vhs to give to my friends...My one friend in particular loves euro music videos and i have a whole bunch in mpg form...can i encode these in some way so that my dv cam (which is a panasonic pvd101k) that it will recognize it and upload it....i have tried to change it to an avi with success but the cam does not recognize the avi file like i had captured it and therefore cannot upload it...
please help!!!!

...when you created the AVI, what codec did you use? You should be using a DV codec.
hope this helps. -
The fact that you've already transferred video from your dv cam to pc, did some edits, and transferred back to dv cam, means that you already have (and used) a DV codec installed on your system.Originally Posted by reu
In order to transfer a video back to a dv cam, the video file (AVI) should have been created using a DV Codec compressor. You mentioned that you've succeeded in changing an MPEG to AVI; What software did you use to convert your MPEG to AVI? And did it not have an option for compressors?Originally Posted by reu
