I think I read somewhere that it is not good idea to play/connect DTS sound into non-DTS equipment. I always choose DTS audio when playing DVD-movie which is connected to a DTS-capable receiver via a coax. The DVD player is also connected to HDTV via RCA cables. Is it doing any damage to the HDTV which is non-DTS? The HDTV has no sound when DTS audio is selected in the DVD player. I am thinking that no DTS signal is passing into the RCA plugs so no effect whatsoever to HDTV. Thanks for any thoughts.

DTS is digital audio & does NOT pass through the standard rca/phono cables,
ONLY through either F.O. or COAXIAL digital cable.

The only time DTS becomes aproblem is when trying to playback DTS encoded CDs through a non-digital playback device. Then you will get pink noise and could blow a speaker if the volume is too high when it kicks in.
