i just converted a divx srendipity of realli high quality into and mpg file using tmpgenc and the thing is that it turns out to be only 870 megs, i find this really strange, aren't vcds usually around 1.4 gigs total for 2 cds? is there a way to set tmpgenc to make the mpg as high quality possible using as much space it can for a 2 cd vcd?

I think you made a VCD. And then 850 Mb can be normal if the film is around 90 minutes. If you make an SVCD it wil be larger...
