  1. I was wondering if there are any programs out there would allow me to add borders to an xvid or dvix video without doing any encoding?

The reason I need to do this is that the subs of these videos get cut off when played back on a tv through a divx capable dvd player. Id like to be able to just add the borders without any time consuming encoding. Thanks

If you alter the picture, you must re-encode.

Besides, sounds like you want to SHRINK the picture as well, and that's a MAJOR modification.

QuEnc or TMPGEnc? Question was XviD to XviD.

You can encode the avs with VDub, avs2avi, etc. Then remux with your original audio. Could also zoom out on your player.

  7. yeah i was hoping i could just zoom out, but unfortunately the player zooms out in too large jumps, the lowest is like 1/3rd smaller, which is too small.
