  1. Hi,

I have created a dvd using the tool Divx2Dvd. This has worked fine and I have been able to fit a number of files onto a dvd. Unfortunately Divx2Dvd does not create a dvd menu, so I would like to create one myself.

I have tried importing the .vob files created into Nero Vision to add the menu, but this seemed to try and recode the files (or something) as it said that the contents wouldn't fit on a normal dvd (when it does). Infact it stated that it wouldn't fit on a dual layer disk.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks,

    -Graham

TMPGEnc DVD Author can import a DVD and add a menu. It neither will nor can reencode.

tmpgenc dvd author, add dvd video and select the video_ts folder.

or try vob2mpeg and import the mpeg in nerovision.

  4. I tried that and it errored when attempting to import the dvd.

The error was a number of ascii characters that made no sense, something like %^£~&#%^£~&#

(I'm not at the computer now), but I can post the actual error if that helps?

    I'll give vob2mpeg a try though, ta.

    Thanks,

    -Graham

  5. Hiya,

Well I have converted the files using vob2mpeg and then tried importing into Nero Vision.

Nero imported the files but said that the files were to large to fit on a single Dvd, and asked to compress them.

Selecting yes then showed a message stating that it reduced the quality to Extended Play (2537 kbps).

Can someone explain what this means? I haven't checked the quality of these yet.

    Thanks,

    -Graham

    Nerovision is bollocks.

Strip out the IFO and BUP files, then import the VOBs into TDA. I don't know why it doesn't like them, but there is a Jimmalenko post that says this is the solution, and it appears to work. The couple of times I tried it before my demo ran out, it imported without issue.
