Pls recommend software for video titling

I usually use SVCD (mpeg 2) as my favoured format and nero to burn the edited movie
I require to know the names of EASY TO USE idiotproof software programs that will help me deisgn video titles and credits preferably output in avi (user defined choice of resolution preferred) or mpeg mode (for SVCD) which i may add to my video editing timeline and transition.

I have tried blufftiti;er but find it too complex - i require simpler stuff - my titi;es are going to be simple and unassuming just some 3D and motion on a background.

I did try windows movie maker titling but it is a lot of work as there is no SVCD size mode (480 x 576) and the output is in wmv which has to be converted (and resized) to be inputted into my video editor (Womble)

Please recommend shareware )i', willing to buy) or freware
