I would like to record TV shows onto my computer using a feature like record from 8pm to 9pm, my problem is that...I would like to do this using my Canopus ADVC capture box and a VCR. I would like to use my VCR to receive a TV signal thru an antenna, then have it plugged into my ADVC, go from the firewire port on the ADVC to my computer and have a software program that just starts recording from the firewire port during a specified period of time. Is this possible or is there an easier way to do this? I am not too interesting in purchasing another capture card (or TV Card) that is more typical for recording TV, so I am only looking for way of doing this with my canopus ADVC feeding a DV signal into the computer.
Thanks for ideas,
Andrew

Wow, what a typo, I am not sure what I meant by DC connection, that should have just been thru a firewire connection. Thanks for the ideas, I will take a look at those suggestions.
