PhX area need assistance to get video off tivo series 1

looking for someone to help me in the phoenix area to hack my series 1 tivo to extract video to pc to burn to dvd. I have heard that I should not waste my time with this and just play the tivo video and record to vcr or pc capture.

Thanks. But I can't use the Tivo to Go since I do not have a series 2 and a subscription. I use my tivo as a vcr and manual record shows. Also I have asked for help on the other web board but I have not got any takers. I wanted some hands one guidance while trying to do this. I am willing to pay for somebody's time.
