Hello, I'm new to video editing and need some help. I'm doing a project for one of my courses and I want to show a compilation of short clips from various movies as a visual aid. I looked through the stickeys and saw that TMpgenc DVD Author can be used to do basic cutting and such. Will this be enough? Also, how would I go about putting the compilation on a dvd? Thanks.

You could even do it with DVD Shrink, however this is editing only at it's most basic. It really depends on what sort of effect you are trying to create.

If you just want a compilation, rip them to your HDD, segment them off into the clips you want, then compile them into a single presentation.

So can I do the segmenting with Shrink, or does that just do the ripping? I just want the compilation to be simple...no fancy transitions or anything.
