    When I try to play a dvd+r on my Goodmans dvd recorder I get disk error. I can't understand this because the dvd player is supposed to support this format. Can anyone help? I am pretty new to dvd recorders.

    What brand of DVD+R have you used. Bad media is likely the cause of this. Is it a DVD movie on the disc (ie in compalint dvd video spec, not just avi or mpg) More info needed.

    Thanks for your reply, yes it is a dvd movie on the disc and since posting this I've actually resolved the problem now by burning at a slower speed (2x)
