I have a TS cap that goes out of sync if I convert the whole clip to Xvid with original AC3 track. (original TS file is synced perfectly) So I split it into 5 parts, converting each to sepeate xvid files. Each edits are done at commercial breaks. The AC3 tracks are untouched, but when I tried to append the converted Xvid clips together, VDub is complaining the samlping rate is different. 480000 vs 479999. I thought about just joining the AC3 files together just by doing "copy /b a+b+c final.ac3" in dos, but all of the AC3 files have different offset, I don't know if I'll end up with the out of sync problem again. Any ideas on how to join them together? I like to keep the original AC3 and not convert it to mp3.

Problem solved. I edited out a few of the black frames between commercial from the original TS, and that solved the syncing problem. I would still like to know how to join clips that have untouched AC3 track yet VDub thinks the sampling rate is wrong. (47999 vs 48000) But I don't think anyone would reply, oh well.

you just have to re-save as avi, using video stream but not stream on audio, so it re-saves audio making them now match, check the guide, i forgot the actual setup.

Are you referring to this guide? http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/14/59/ I get stuck at step 5. If I choose full processing mode for audio, I would destroy the original AC3 track.
