    Hi

    I am trying to set up a TV as a second monitor, so that I can see what I have edited looks like.

    I am using;
    Premier Pro 1.5
    ADVC 100
    XP Home
    Leadteck Graphics card with MYVIVO (S-Video & Video IN/OUT).

    I have tried all different ways with leads. No Joy.

    I have also changed XP Display Properties (dual monitors) etc - still nothing.

    I have tried using the AV on the TV/monitor - and also have tuned in a TV channel, hoping to pick up the feed.

    Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

    Thanks in advance - regards, Stephen

    The problem is the Video card you are using, try with an ASUS Radeon 9200 SE with TV Out and you will be able to work flawlessly.

    P.S.
    My expensive MSI GForce FX 5700 256 MBs can only work when I shut
    down my computer monitor.

    The way Premiere Pro is structured, you would use your ADVC-100 (or camcorder) for monitoring your edit. If your project format is DV and the TV is set up for NTSC with 7.5 IRE setup, make sure the sw 2 on the ADVC is set to 7.5 IRE. That will also scale 7.5 IRE captures to correct DV digital levels 16-235.

    For other apps, Leadtek should allow normal dual monitor mode in Windows Display Properties. Set S-Video as 2nd monitor. The manual should spell it out.

    PS: After writing that I see you are in England, so the ADVC-100 switch should be set to 0.0 IRE.
