  1. I found three templates which let you make Xvcd upto 4000Kb sec. Tou can also go higher but your DVD player must support it. Since i dont have any Standalone Dvdplayer i want some people tp test My XSVCD. If you are interested please mail me at zeven_christ@hotmail.com

The quality on XSVCD is almost Divx quality maybe better. If someone want to test my XSVCD Movies just mail me. 8) [/b]

  3. well since I can make SVCD with 2530 bitrate that look "better" than divx... on my tv (instead of tv out with divx) i would like to see what you have. don't get me wrong... I'm not putting you down... I just love to see these "I got a new method posts". Post the method that you use to create XSVCD ... ex. encoder used, bitrate, 480x480 or other, filters, borders, GOP, matrix... or anything else. And go get a $50 DVD player so you can futher test your methods.

You should get dvd quality if making xsvcds with bitrates as high as 4000kbps...if encoded correctly and if the source is good as dvd of course.

    Zeven,

It's not worth the effort for us to test and then TELL you our
findings. You may or may not believe every one of us that does
    your test (for you)

YOU have to make that call.
Go out and buy yourself a CHEAP dvd player. Don't tell me your
broke! You can find one for $79 or less (circuit city for one)

This is pointless for you to ask this kind of "theory" based on
your curiosity of those three templates. However, YOU can do
these testings yourself and play it back on YOUR pc and get a
estimate on quality per your taste.
TIP, if you want to get the best or close to accurate results of
your MPEG (VCD/SVCD) encodes, install WinDVD 3.0 I found this to
be a close to accurate quality judging tool out there. Ben using
it since last week, and I love it, though its only 5 mins. I only
need to test my encodes quality, thats all. I also use PowerDVD
and Cineplayer as well as BSplayer to judge my encoding quality.

So, you don't need anyone of us to try your theories for ya
