Hi, I'm new to this whole scene, I downloaded some exercise videos (.avi), that I'de like to share with some friends. However some are too big to fit on a normal disc, Ive tried using windows movie maker to cut the beginning and ending short, but the saved file has audio and no picture. What program could I use to either A. compress the file (theyr about 850mb need under 700) or B. Edit the clips so I can cut them into two halfs? thanks! Also my version of Nero does not have any editing tools although it claims to![]()

You could use DVDs instead of CDs, and put 4 to a disc. Otherwise you can use AVI Demux to trim the clips down and save them without re-encoding. Or you can re-encode the whole file to make it smaller with AVI Recomp.
