  3. Hi there.
Virtualdub stopped supporting .asf files from version 1.4 onwards (i think this is right, going from memory) because microsoft patented .asf and the program author cannot handle being sued.

I have the version on a cd somewhere, but can't think where it is, and am frankly not that arsed to look.

Search the forum here or use google, i's suggest using search terms "virtualdub" and "asf" -- thats what i did to find all this out.

Try an older version. I didn't even know that anything above version 1.2 supported .asf files.

  7. Faq me man do u want me to edit the thing for u!!!

    goto:- www.google.com

    enter search terms:- virtualdub asf

look at the 6th link down the page

click it, and then click anything that looks like a virtualdub download type thing

3 PAGES LATER you are on the main virtualdub downlink page, where you can download many different varieties of the excelent vdub.

Took me less than 5 minutes to get this info, and out of principle i am going to be such a hard and nasty bastard that i am going to make you wear your index finger out by making a total of 6 clicks from the google page. By the time you got this reply you could have downloaded it and finished your vid. I HATE LAZYNESS!!!!!!!!!!

  9. OK, fair enough mate, i've possibly found a better solution for you,
    try:http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html

Look at the bottom of the page, you will see a specially adapted version of vdub for asf files, as to whether it works, i don't know as i haven't tried it. Good luck anyway!
