Thanks Xylob, I've been so happy with my two AOPEN MB's from 2-3 years ago I haven't been looking lately. I've worked on a 100 machines in the last 6 months (mostly older) and haven't run across double ports yet. I am wondering what the thinking is though. Gigabit is backward compatible so you still wouldn't need more than one port. It would give you some flexibility if you were using one machine as a router / server in a setup. Maybe that's the reason.
I think most of the newer motherboards come with 2 ethernet ports. My Asus also has two gigabit ports, one controlled my the nvidia driver and the other one by silicon image.

as far as i know, i think all nforce4 MB have 2 Gigabit ethernet ports.

I had that same problem when I updated to SP2. Little or no connectivity was the messege that I was recieving after installing SP2. Even after a clean unistall, still the same thing. It wasn't until I did a sys. restore that I was again able to connect to the internet.

Anyone have any suggestions to how I can connect to the internet using SP2?

    Are you behind a router?

Did you disable the windows firewall?
