  1. I am just playing with menus and stills when creating my VCD (CVCD actually)

I noticed that Nero (5.5.8 is the version I am using) can create menus, but it is not very easy to manipulate them. First, I dont want the text displayed, but that can be done with the "nero_fake" font. Second, it does not take into account "overscan", and images are cut.

Then I discovered VCDEASY, and it can create MPEG Stills, creating MPG files from images, to be used as menus.

I then thought that may be I can create MPG stills in VCDEASY and add them as tracks in NEro..... But when I try that, Nero complains about the file not being a MPEG1, stream encoding invalid, and no video. I UNchecked "standard compliant".

Does this mean that I can't include MPG stills created in VCDEASY in Nero? I have to make my VCD with menus either on VCDEASY or NERO (not mixing anything)?

    Thanks.

  2. Nero doesn't understand that you could be importing premade MPEG still images, so yes, you can't use them with Nero.

If you are already using VCDEasy, why not just use it to author your VCD? It is intinsically a more powerful and flexible VCD authoring program.

    Regards.
