  1. Ok I just downloaded LOTR already in MPG format, however it's in PAL mode, which my DVD player can't read. How do I convert it to NTSC? Also, EZ-CD Creator is telling me that two of the three files "will not work in a VCD player. To make this file Video CD compliant, I will need to use an MPEG encoder taht supports Video CD encoding" Is it saying this because they are above 650 meg?

I've tried using TMPEG to convert from PAL to NTSC, but it doesn't work, on the two bigger files it crashes, then bluescreens, and on the smaller file, it just gives me an error. I really want to get this to work, this is the best version I've found sofar.

  4. ok, well I checked TMPGEnc's site and found there was a newer version, so I downloaded that and it seems to be encodeing, I hope this will work.

Of course any TMPG version will convert the framerate if you want. But it does not work well. If you convert 25 to 23.976 fps, TMPG will skip about 1 fps. You can force it not to convert the framerate but slow down the movie (then TMPG assumes 25 is 23.976), but audio have to converted seperately, otherwise it is out of sync.
Check the link above how to do it properly.
