  1. I am trying to take some files from mini-dvds and add titles to different scenes in the mpeg files.

    1. I put the mini dvds into my computer and copied over the .vob files, this worked for 5 of the 7 dvds. The other 2 had "errors." I was able to get them onto the computer via capturing them with my camera, they are in mpg format.
    2. I tried converting the .vob files to mpeg so I could import them into Movie Maker so I could add a few simple titles to each scene, but I couldn't get the vobs to mpeg, only m2v and ac3. I tried then muxing those files using several different programs, all having errors doing it.
    3. I then thought maybe I can just rename the .vob files to .mpg, which I did and they still played fine.
    4. I imported all of these files into windows movie maker, which I was going to use to create the simple titles for each scene. This took awhile but it was finally done. I checked out a couple of the files to make sure that they were okay only to discover that movie maker for some unknown reason has made each of them only around 10 seconds long!!!!

Basically all I want to do is take some .vobs or .mpgs and add titles to different scenes in each file and then export them as mpegs so I can author them for dvds. For some reason everything I have tried seems riddled with problems and errors. Is there any easy way (preferable freeware) to make these titles?
