  1. I have CCE Sp 2.67 version running with dvd-rb and I would like to know if I should look into getting ECLCCE instead?

Is there much difference between them? I tried looking for a comparision, but it's all weird jargon to me. What's the point of using EclCCE?

    Please provide some insight!

    Thanks!

the point of using ECLCCE is for people who only have a trial version of CCE. if you purchased CCE then there really is no reason to install ECLCCE. someone can correct me if i'm wrong. post this question at doom9 forum site and i'm sure you'll get lots of answers.

CCE is the encoder, eclCCE is a front end that transcribes the contents of batch files into keystrokes to control CCE for versions which cannot load the batchfiles (which I believe the demo versions and some older versions cannot do)

EclCCE is also required for CCE Basic, IIRC... or is it only for the trial and pre-2.50 versions?

  6. EclCCE is used to give command prompt ability to older versions of CCE (2.50) and also the trial versions. If I remember right, the trial versions will not let you import a .ecl file, this is where EclCCE comes in.

You need command prompt support for using the "One-Button Mode". I believe the Basic versions have this because in the readme file that comes with RB, the author says he used Basic to test the program.

Just get it if you are in doubt. It's small, free, and requires no extra knowledge other than to use the EclCCE directory instead of the CCE directory
