To just look at them there is no difference that I can see. But when you open DVD Decrypter and select menu>ISO>write.....

When Decrypter locates the blank disc....in the info window it should say something like....

    Device Information:
    Current Profile: DVD-R

    Disc Information:
    Status: Empty
    Erasable: No
    Free Sectors: 2,298,496
    Free Space: 4,707,319,808 bytes
    Free Time: 510:48:46 (MM:SS:FF)

    Pre-recorded Information:
    Manufacturer ID: RITEKG04

    Physical Format Information:
    Book Type: DVD-R
    Part Version: 5
    Disc Size: 120mm
    Maximum Read Rate: 10.08Mbps
    Number of Layers: 1
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
    Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit
    Track Density: 0.74 um/track

On a side note...I freakin love the RITEK discs. Every DVD I have backed up is flawless and plays in every DVD player I have tried and I took one of my backups to Best Buy and just ran it through player after player until they asked me to stop and it worked in every single one except the 2 I didn't get to try.

LOL!!!! How funny, thanks for the info on Ritek disks. Do you use Rited +RWs or +R............or -RWs or -R???

The ones that I ordered are +RW disks. The reason I ordered +RW is because I originally tried Verbatim disks. It came in a 10 pack (9 +R and one +RW disk was included). For some reason, ONLY the +RW disk will work on my two standalone DVD players, but the +R disks will not work.

The purple dye on my 4x disk was slightly lighter in color then the 1x G03 disk. But ADVinfo or another program to tell you is your best bet.
