    I recently put a lot of data + pics on a DVD blank disk and although I can read from the disc in my DVD Writer my DVD Rom drive cannot detect it, I dont have any problems with DVD Movies that I backup. Is there a specific way of doing Data DVD disks that can be read on DVD Rom drives.

    what s/w did u use to burn the data ? (Nero etc or DirectDVD/XP)

    If you burnt it as a 'DirectDVD' drive (ie drive letter) then you may find that you have to finish the session first before you can read it in another drive. If you burnt using Nero as a data disc, then I'm a bit stumped as well - have you tried lowering the burn rate ?
