Hi,
I am trying to convert mov files to VCD using TMPGEnc. I have done this countless times before, but then my computer crashed (not related to TMPGEnc BTW) and I lost all my software. I have just downloaded the latest version and the QTReader. It seems to work fine but the final mpeg has no sound.
A bit of research, and I have found out that some mov files are protected against re-encoding, and that apparently there is no way round this. I have tried using radtools, but it said that it couldn't open the audio stream. I therefore suspect that it is a protection issue. However, when I tried encoding an older mov file, it did the same thing. The odd thing is, that I successfully converted this file with sound before my computer went down. So I was therefore wondering if anyone could shed any light on this situation, and hopefully offer a solution.
