  1. i have downloaded a large video file in windows media format and a short way into the video it registers that corrupt data has been encountered and the prog shuts down.

    is there any way to cut out the corrupt data leaving the good bit? can you use virtual dub to do this and if so how?

  2. Download VirtualDub from the tools section on the left side of this page. Then under the heading Video, click on check for bad frames. After you do that, save as AVI with a different name. This will produce an AVI without the bad frames and you can convert and burn as normal.
