    I put some of my home movies on DVD using Pinnacle Studio Deluxe.

    Is there an easy to use program that can get .avi or mpeg2 files back off my dvd?

    Use SmartRipper or DVDDecrypter and do a stream rip. That allows you to rip the audio and video directly without having to copy the VOBs.
