Is there a plugin available for VirtualDub that changes the aspect ratio?
I could use the supplied resize plugin or the one from http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft/ but all I need to do is resize, and if I leave the size of the image the same in these plugins, the resize algorrythm is still applied.
Thanks for any help.

What is it, what you try to accomplish?Maybe an example would quite helpful.
Is your source anamorphic (16:9 for ex.) and you want change the 16:9 to 4:3, or is your source fullscreen (4:3) and you want it to convert to wide-screen?Please clarify1 -
I just need to set the aspect ratio of decrypted DVDs because when loaded into VirtualDub they're stretched to 1:1 original size.
-
To clarify:your source is anamorphic (let's say 16:9) and you see it as 4:3 with VDub?This is normal. Why do you want it stretch(resize)?Only for preview or further processing?Normally you can process in 4:3 mode until authoring the DVD.Then you can change the DAR with ifoedit oder before with pulldown.I made up a thread on this issue.

I don't want to stretch it. I just want to be able to set the correct aspect ratio (be it 4:3 or 16:9 depending on the film) without using one of the resize filters.

OK...
I wanna make a DivX of a decrypted DVD that is the original size but with the correct aspect ratio.
Seeing that VirtualDub loads it at an extact pixel by pixel ratio (1:1) I need a stand alone ratio plugin (I think). -
no you don't. just resize it to 720x360.

i don't know why you would want to do that. you lose the vertical resolution.

4:3 is what you didn't want. the resized one is 16:9 roughly.

Odd that. When I put 4:3 into the resize plugin I normally use it looks like it should do.
Are there sizes that one could use for 4:3 and 16:9 ? -
