  1. I have successfully copied approx 50 different DVD's and haven't come accross this problem before. I used DVD decrypter to rip, DVD2ONE, then Prassi to write. I'm trying to copy a porn DVD ( shame on me! ), I rip the movie files fine, then put them through DVD2ONE. DVD2ONE gets right to the end then says something about unable to transcode as DVD protected, or something like that. Is there a way around this?

    thanks in advance

It takes a brave man to admit he's copying porn.
    To you I say...

  3. Thank you Silky31, I think!

Seriously, how come DVD2ONE can't handle this? Surely all DVD's have some form of protection that our rippers are overcoming?. What about if I try ripping it with a different ripper?. Or an alternative to DVD2ONE?

    cheers

Is there any interactive stuff on that disk? I suspect that you have encountered a computer game, or something. Give us a list of all that files that came off that disk.

P.S. Most erotic video (RE:porn) is not encrypted, because of the cost of the license fee.

  5. That's what I was thinking, a porn dvd is less likely to have any fancy encryption.

I may be wrong but I think Instant copy 7 (demo available), when used wth the title fix, can remove all interactive shite that comes on a dvd.
Might be an avenue to explore, if this is indeed the problem.
    Good luck.

  7. I don't know if this is going to work, but I'm just trying something. I ripped the movie again ( movie files only ). Tried to use DVD2ONE again, same problem, failed right at the end. I noticed that it still created the the vob files, to the correct size, just no .ifo's/bup's, so I put the vobs through IFO Edit, created new ifo's, writing out DVDR with Prassi atm. Will let you know if it works.

  8. how big is the movie? is it under 4.7 gigs? if so have you tried stream processing in dvd decrypter and just make a m2v and ac3 file. then just author it with ifoedit then burn?

  9. The movie was just over 5 gig after stream processing so unable to do it that way. Question, this is the first time I've used ifo edit, according to the guide the audio channels come out wrong and need further editing in ifo edit to fix it. Do you have to do this all the time when creating ifo's in ifoedit?

Ok, just finished writing, it wrote successfully, but won't play. That just wasted an hour or 2!

I guess the next thing to do is try IC7? Can someone give me a very quick rundown on how to use this? I've looked at the guide, seems very complicated, and in IC7 I couldn't get it to work with the vob files? Do you have to rip in iso mode for ic7?

    cheers

Well, I don't think that this is deliberate, because most DVD porn is so badly done, it might just be corrupted data that got wriiten to the disk (got this info by looking at my neighbor's porn collection!). But I could be wrong!
