  1. hi ripped a dvd and put it onto a dvd-rw,which plays fine in my pc but not on my standalone
tried to copy with instant cd/dvd and when it gets to about 98% it states errors something along the lines of 26 errors reading it.

now what shows up in the dvd is the following.

    video_tsbup (size 6kb)
    video_ts.ifo (size 6kb)
    vts_01_0.bup (size 74kb)
    vts_01_0.ifo (size 74kb)
    vts_01_1.vob (0.99gb)
    vts_01_2.vob (0.99gb)
    vts_01_3.vob (0.99gb)
    vts_01_4.vob (0.99gb)
    vts_01_5.vob (0.99gb)

i have tried everyting but when i even try to load the first vob into tmpenc it says its only a very small file
yet the dvd-rw plays fine in my pc without anything missing.

can anyone suggest how i can actually get this to copy onto dvd-r?

can u manually copy the files off of the disk via explorer? Cause if its a burn its not encrypted in anyway. Then load it into ifoedit and have it strip to movie only... should be quite easy. See if that works.

delete your current IFO and BUP files.

    Open IFOedit > create IFO's > wait...................

(still in IFO edit) Get VTS sectors...........

Region free, save and close IFOedit.

Open PowerDVD, WinDVD 4 or check your DVD in IFOedit to make sure it's good to go.

Go to www.doom9.net download imgtools .89

create a folder called VIDEO_TS in the root of a drive on your computer, example C:\VIDEO_TS or in my case H:\VIDEO_TS

drag and drop all of your files for your DVD to be burnt into that folder. Imgtools .89 requires you to have the VIDEO_TS in the root of a drive.

Open imgtools .89, set your drive from the pull down menu to the right of "select source drive" then click "create image > and wait...........

when this is done you will have a file call xxxxxxxxxx.img

    Close imgtools .89

open DVD Decrypter. Go to "mode" > iso > and select the "write" option.

Click the little folder ICON just to the right of where it says "please select a file"............

Browse for your xxxxxxxxxx.img file, find it, open it then click the HD > DVD ICON and burn your DVD.

The only trouble I have had with this method is sometimes apparently I need to have a VTS_01_0.VOB file for the DVD to work in my Pioneer standalone player. If this is the case, I just made one with photoshop, premiere and DVD workshop then renamed it and drug it into my ripped DVD folder before I started this whole process. You will need to have it in there before you use IFOedit as it will need to be written into the IFO file.
