Simple question ? What's the best way to erase a DVD-RW AND THE QUICKEST, is there a special programme for doing this.

I often burn new projects to DVD-RW's before making final copies, so I do a lot of erasing. The quickest and easiest way I have found to do this is with Roxio Easy CD Creator. Just open any version of Roxio, and go to the "Easy CD Creator", or "Direct Format Utility" sections. Choose the "CD" option from the toolbar, and pick "erase CD". It gives you two choices, "quick erase" or "full erase". Quick erase takes about 90 sec. and does a complete erase. I've never needed to wait the hour for a full erase

I use Nero. Under Recorder select erase ReWritable and use quick erase, it usually takes between 2 and 5 minutes for me.

I use Record Now MAX. Under drive choose erase. Don't erase with Windows Explorer with the DLA driver that comes with this. Every time I did the burning programs Records Now MAX, Nero, etc would not reconize it as a blank disk.
