See my second post about the 1.6GB difference.
Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions for this problem?
I have tried to oversizing by using the slider and f-5 to ok it but the resulting file size of the movie is 3.9 GB, which is the exact size I get with the default slider position of 4.31 GB. Even if I slide it up to 99% with a predicted file size of 5.25 GB I still get the same result of 3.9 GB file size that the default setting gives me. When I don't delete any extras the slider WILL change the resulting file size though. I am having this problem with the movies The Bourne Identity and K-19, both being movies an the larger side. These are the only two movies I have tried so far.

Sorry that I dont know the answer to that question but maybe you can help me out, whenever I use IC7 to keep the menu and extras I do not let the movie exceed 4.3GB but after converting I get a window that stats that my movie is more than 4.3GB and that I do not have enough free space on my dvd media. What steps do you take to backup a dvd including menus. The way that I do it is to use DVDDecrypter to rip to HD and then run IC7. I appreciate any tips that you can give. Thanks in advance.

Rick, I am not sure as being a newbie myself. I would recommend always writing to hardisc first to see the result in advance though.
More info on my undersize problem. K-19 is the test movie.
Since IC was significantly undersizing I just decided to max out the sizing slider to 99%+ (entire movie) to see if I could even get close to 4.37GB. I then gradually reduced the movie size by taking out the extras with the reg hack(I know it's not supported by Pinnacle) to see how the sizing results would differ in comparison to movie size. I also ended up removing all audio except AC3 5.1 and any subtitles other than english to get the smallest size before transcoding. I finally ended up stripping the movie of all extras beforehand so I wouldn't have to use the registry hack(no more wiggle room IC). I used DVDDecrypter file mode movie only and then loaded those files into IFOedit091. I used theVOBextras function to create new VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.I. I then use the GET VTS sectors funtion to correct the IFO files. The movie only played flawlessly in WINDVD4.
Here are test results starting with the full move and gradually stripping size. The movie is K-19
6.62GB @ 98.70% = 4.97GB (full movie)
6.51GB @ 98.70% = 4.87GB (removed some extras)
6.00GB @ 99.14% = 4.39GB (removed more extras)
5.44GB @ 99.14% = 3.84GB (stripped down to max with IC)
5.28GB @ 99.14% = 3.70GB (DVDDecrypter file mode movie only and IFOedit beforehand. NO REG HACK=no excuses IC)
I also tried the changing DvdSaveQuality registry settings from 6(default) to 1 with the IFOedit movie only. The resulting size was the same.
Notice a trend?? The maximun possible transcoded size is always 1.6GB smaller than the starting move size. I wonder if this is happening to all the others who complain about undersizing?
I want the movie only. It's looking like IC isn't for me. I can't deal with 18% of the media not being used/loss of potential quality.
Anyone have any suggestions before I give up on IC. -
