I have this setup:
VTS1 = menu
VTS2 = Extras
VTS3 = main movie
Without the Extras (VTS2) I can get movie and menu together on 1 DVDR.
I ripped the entire DVD, deleted VTS2 (Extras), renamed VTS3 to VTS2 and used IfoEdit for "Get VTS sectors".
In playback I get the menu but when I select Play Movie nothing happens.
Any ideas?

A thread that gets no replies is either stupid or nobody has an answer for it.
If it's stupid then I'm sorry, but I really could use info or feedback on this topic.
The tutorials are either backing up a movie without menu, or create entirely new menu screens.
thanks in advance,

Hi. A few ideas. Do you really need the menu? If you are deleting the extras I am not sure why you need it, other than for audio selections, etc? A little more information might help.

MrSnake,
Hey I am bored so I will help you out for a second. First, you cannot simply delete that VOB. You should run IFOedit, use the built in DVD Player, see what titlesets are needed to maintain the menu links in your stripped down Rip. You see there may have been a short link in VOB 2, such as a FBI warning or a stupid trailer that played before your main feature. You have deleted the entire VOB, now your menu link goes nowhere. Get it? You can use IFOedit to relink you FIRST PLAY PGC to jump to the movie. Basically you need to learn IFOedit. Renaming the VOBS did nothing. Check out Menuedit from DOOM9.org, you can delete the button link on your menu's as well. Have fun. -
Hi!
There problem is that you have change the structure by changing the title set vts_03 -> vts_02!
Do this instead:
delete only those VTS_02_1.VOB -> VTS_02_X.VOB
So you still have the original titleset structure!
then use that "Get VTS sectors" etc... -

Did you ever get the menu working. I asked a similiar question yesterday and nobody is answering it. I'm trying to keep the function of the scene selection in the menu and that's it. I'm only trying to play the movie and have the option of seeing where i'm skipping to. I'm trying to accomplish this in IFOEdit. Thanks for any help. -
Try my way and tell me if it worked... https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=148469
