  1. I think this is the correct forum since my source footage hase been converted to DVD compliant mpeg-2. If not, I apologize.

I am trying to create a miniDVD. Can this be done using VCDEasy with or without header tricks, or do I have to use software that will create a DVD file/folder structure on a CD-R(W)? Along this vein I semi-successfully got a 20-sec clip to play on my DVP NS500-V authored as an SVCD disc using a CD-RW. However, the playback was stilted (presumably due to buffer issues).

I saw the section on how to use some other more cryptic freeware, but wondered if there was a way to do it using my existing software (TMPGenc and VCDEasy).

Any instructions or related links to how-tos would be appreciated.

You can't use vcdeasy. You must use a dvd authoring tool like moviefactory or some other. But minidvds wont work on most dvd players.

  3. Well, after trial and error through Ifoedit and burning the video_ts folder to a CD-RW my DVP NS500V wouldn't play it after all. I tried different things but no luck. Oh well, it looks like I may force myself to by a DVD burner sooner than later. I was hoping to hold out until blu-ray got cheap!
