  1. Hi

I want to burn an audio book onto a DVDRW so it will read like a CD Audio track. Any Ideas?

  2. First of all your DVD player has to support 48khz mp3's.If it does then download CDex and rip your book to mp3 48khz,burn as data ISO or UDF.

These are your choices (test each and find out which one works-use RW media during testing )...

    1. Make MP3 files (44 or 48k), burn as simple data files onto CD media-ISO9660.
    2. Same thing, but burn onto DVD media-ISO9660/UDF bridge.
    3. Make a regular Audio CD--multiple discs.
    4. Make LPCM, MP2 or AC3 files (48k), Author along with still pix as std. DVD-Video and burn onto DVD or CD media.
    5. Make LPCM or LPCM/MLP files (44, 48, 88, 96k), Author with or without pix as std DVD-Audio and burn onto DVD or CD media.

Sounds like you want to do #2 but don't think you can. How long is the title(s)? Don't do #5 unless you've got a universal player. If length isn't rediculously long and/or you don't mind compression, do #1. If length is quite long (>10hrs) or you do mind compression, do #4. No matter what, you've always got #3 as a fallback.

    Trying to clarify things...

    Scott

p.s.: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CD AUDIO TRACKS ON DVD MEDIA. All DVD's are "Data" discs, using UDF or UDF bridge filesystem. Some may be just raw data files, some may be authored std DVD-Video material, some may be authored std. DVD-Audio material, some may be combinations of the above, but on a DVD, as opposed to a CD, it's all just data.
