I used vdub to filter a 15 GB avi (huffy,352x480, mono PCM at 48k). I applied temporal smoothing and sharpening filters. After vdub, the file is 35GB. Why did it grow so much? I told vdub to use huffy compression.
AVIcodec can open the 15GB avi without complaint. When AVIcodec opens the second, filtered avi, it says "incomplete (too small)" [right-- 35GB is too small]
Did I do something wrong in setting up vdub? What does incomplete mean? Should I care?
Aside: Studio 8 can not handle switching back and forth between the 2 avi files. It previews the first it opens OK, but then can not preview the second one (shows only static) until another application plays the second one! Problems with S8 not withstanding, I use S8 for everything except the initial capture and burn to disk.
