new 105 firmware and Ritek G03

Has anyone been able to confirm personally that the new 1.30 firmware for the pioneer 105 will allow you to burn G03's at 2x? I've been hearing rumors, but nothing to substantiate them. Has anyone been able to do this?

Read a post on another web site that said that it's still stuck at 1x. I don't understand why the 103 and 104 will burn at 2x and not the 105. Oh well, I'll stick with the Riteks because they are so reliable, but it sure sucks that I have to keep burning at 1x.

I can confirm that the new firware 1.30 will only allow buring of the Ritek G03 at 1X. I tried it last night. It was a good burn as per usual with this media.

AarontheRipper: The DVR-A04/104 only burns Ritek at 2x using a firmware hack. Default speed is still 1x.

Hey guys,

I live in the Netherlands and I can only get Ritek G04 discs.
On other forums I read that the v1.30 firmware doesn't make any difference concerning the Ritek G03 discs.

But I wonder if the v0.58 firmware burns these G03 discs at 2x speed.
