  1. I had done this before but now I seem to have problems. I took a VCD, copied the movie file off the VCD, onto the hard drive, and was able to load them in TMPG to make them DVD compliant.

So I am trying with other VCD's now, and I copy the files to the hard drive from the disk ( just with a copy paste method).. The files work fine in media player, and in winDVD. however when I try to load them in TMPG, I get "can not open, unsupported" message. So I tried to use DVD2AVI to make a d2v file, and that does not seem to work either. I tried what I saw in the "How To" section by changing the priority in the enviornment options and it still won't read. So now I'm confused as to why I can play the files fine in WinDVD, and media player, but I keep getting an error in TMPG. I went to the TMPG site and there is not fourm or anything, and the support is not much.. can any one help me or lead me to help?

    thanx

    G.

  2. Are you sure they are VCD and not SVCD which are mpeg-2. In this case take a look at this thread: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=147203&highlight=
